Clients are often asking my why do they have to come to the studio before their bundle of joy is 10 days old. There are so many reasons, but the first and foremost is that your newborn grows and changes everyday and we want to capture them as tiny as possible.
This little munchkin was in the perfect age range for his debut session at 5 days, he was just adorable!
A second reason for the time constraints is that your little one hits a growth spurt around the two week mark, and they just want to feed and feed, leaving little time for us to photograph them.

Newborns become less likely to sleep soundly as well as they progress past the 10 day mark. This little guy was still fairly sleepy, and such a sweet little sleeper too!
As baby gets older, they become less "malleable" and curly and they do not pose in the desirable newborn poses as easily (like the one below)
The Newborn Portrait Studio is nice and warm to keep your little monkey comfortable!

When you are expecting it is best to book your Newborn Photography Session in advance; before baby arrives. You will be given a tentative session date based on your due date, and then I accommodate you based on when baby actually arrives. I just love getting the text at 2 in the morning to tell me the great news of baby's arrival, then I know that Mom and Dad are really serious about getting some wonderful memories of their baby!
